Adam Shilton, Software Specialist

 
Originally from the South but moving to Yorkshire, after completing my degree from the University of Huddersfield, Business Development was always an interest of mine. Since University, I’ve spent lots of time helping develop new business for start-ups and small enterprises – across many sectors including: property, manufacturing, energy, construction and agriculture. Transitioning to Azzure IT, this broad sector experience has helped me appreciate industry challenges.
 
I took the role here because I saw lots of opportunity to help grow Azzure IT’s SMB proposition – focused on the Dynamics 365 SaaS ‘quick start’ model. This fast developing part of the business is already helping SMEs implement smart business software, cost effectively, in shorter time spans and realise an immediate benefit.
 
I look forward to looking back in the years to come and seeing how many businesses we’ve helped grow by implementing their smart, next generation software.
 
 

Paul While, Consultant

 
After studying for my BA Hons Business and Financial Studies, in Liverpool, I spent two years as a Branch Manager at Skipton Building Society, overseeing financial planning and investments, mortgage, pension and life insurance advise. It might sound strange, but my Uncle was a SAP consultant and I thought that it sounded exciting. After 12 months self-studying of SAP Business One, I decided to move into ERP Consultancy.
 
Working for a small SAP Partner, in my first role as Head of Support, I gained strong experience in product and customer relations. I quickly progressed into consultancy at one of the UK’s largest SAP Business One Gold Partners, as a Senior SAP Analyst. Over the last five years, I have been involved in a variety of projects – from 5 to 200 user systems – in all aspects from scoping, business analysis, installation, configuration, training, UAT and go-live. My areas of specialist industry knowledge are warehousing and logistics, production, manufacturing and retail.
 
I really wanted to work for Azzure IT, as their passion and enthusiasm was clear. Working for Azzure IT is a fantastic opportunity for me to progress my career with a company that can match my ambition as an individual. I understand that I am here to make a difference for clients – that’s what Azzure IT is about. My role as Business Systems Consultant, at Azzure IT, consists of business analysis, design, development and deployment. I mainly work on-site with customers gathering vital information to ensure the best solution to meet their specific commercial needs. Day-to-day tasks include site visits, meeting with key project stakeholders (directors, functional managers, key users) requirements gathering, customising the product, delivering system training and general hand hold during go-live.
 
 

Paul Weekes, NAV Consultant

 
Prior to working with Azzure IT, my career led me through retail, warehousing, distribution and the support of warehouse management systems. My career progressed and for five years I worked as a Business Analyst, which also introduced me to the world of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Logically, becoming a NAV consultant seemed like the next step to building upon the skills and experience I had gained. Working for three years with a leading NAV consultancy, I became really interested implementation consultancy.
 
I wanted to work for Azzure IT because their progression as a Microsoft Partner, demonstrates their commitment, as a team, to clients. Achieving Gold Partners status and being a member of the Microsoft President’s Club made them stand out to me. For me, their membership of Microsoft’s global product panel proves how Azzure IT are well placed at the forefront of this technology.
 
I joined Azzure IT and was immediately impressed by their commitment, in all areas of business. It was evident to me that they place a high value on customer and staff relationships – supported by a positive work ethic and methodology. I was impressed by their honesty and their investment both in the company and in their staff. I am looking forward to a successful career here.
 
 

Luke Dyson, Support Desk – 1st Line Support

 
When studying for my BSC Hons in Geography, in Newcastle, I decided that a personal strength was customer communication. I initially headed into a customer services facing role, where I spent one and a half years learning the role and developing my approach.
 
I’ve often found myself taking a proactive role with colleagues when it comes to IT related issues and realised that I had a passion for solving technical problems and resolving these effectively with clients. After leaving my first customer services role, I was recruited as 1st line support, for Azzure IT. Seeking to expand my technical knowledge, my role primarily involves talking to customers and understanding their issues ensuring exact requirements are passed onto the second line team with support arranged effectively.
 
Working with Azzure IT has been the best move in my career so far. Azzure IT has provided me with a consistently challenging environment with an opportunity to improve skills, address any weaknesses and develop my personal strengths – providing benefits to the customer and the business. For example, my analytical skills as a geographer has been used to analyse problems, that customers may encounter with their software solution, allowing me to prioritise cases and allocate the best resource efficiently.
 
Working at Azzure IT would be a good step in anyone’s career path.
