Nine Go-live’s Kick Off 2019


Azzure IT is delighted to announce that nine projects have officially gone live this past January. This is an incredible achievement for the company, and is a testament to the hard work and skill of our staff to get all these projects live and running smoothly.

The projects that were completed in January were very varied. Of the nine projects, four of them implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, one implemented NAV 2017, one implemented a bespoke solution designed to work with their parent company, and three were variations of Business Central, both cloud and on premise.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018

Our first NAV 2018 implementation of 2019 was at Widdop and Co, a leading supplier of giftware to the trade, with over 135 years of experience. Back in April 2018. Widdop took the decision to replace their existing system and engaged with Azzure IT, with their intention being to integrate their existing mainframe system for handling stock, warehousing, and fulfilling sales orders with a NAV 2018 solution.

Herbert Retail were our second implementation of the year, and they offer end-to-end business solutions to enhance their client’s business efficiency and customer service capabilities. They are an established provider of retail solutions, providing to many major organisations throughout the UK. Their project is currently in phase 1b of their soft go live of NAV 2018. This phase will include some work with inventory, distribution and finance, and the project will continue through February, although they are already live with one small company.

On the same day as Herbert Retail’s implementation, our team was in London implementing another NAV 2018 system for Rhubarb Food Design Ltd. Rhubarb are an international premium hospitality group specialising in luxury event catering and venue hospitality. They have now gone live with Phase 1 of their NAV 2018 project, which involves NAV Finance and Contina Document Capture. Rhubarb’s project began at the very end of September, and it has only taken three months to go live, and this coincided with the start of their financial year.

Our fourth and final NAV 2018 implementation to kick off 2019 was in partnership with MuddyBoots Software, who enable growers to manage their farms out in the field. They also work with some of the largest fresh produce retailers around the world. They are using NAV 2018 for finance, sales, purchasing, service contracts and deferrals. By implementing NAV 2018, Muddyboots are looking to streamline and automate their business processes, making their everyday working lives easier and allowing them to deliver the best service they can to their clients.

We also implemented a NAV 2017 solution for Slingco UK, an international business whose head office is based in Rochdale. Slingco design and manufacture quality assured cable installations for industries ranging from gas, civil engineering, transport, marine and construction.

Our final project to close out January was actually working with one of our long term clients, SPS EU. After initially going live in 2015, SPS decided to partner with Azzure again to help them facilitate the integration between them and their parent company PF Concept. The bespoke solution implemented by Azzure will support the new business model for SPS, whereby customers, sales orders and purchases received from PF Concept are then accounted for centrally at SPS.

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

As the market is shifting in 2019 to more Business Central related deals, we at Azzure are delighted to see that three industry-leading companies have taken the decision to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions to help manage their businesses.

Our first Business Central implementation came on New Year’s Day, with leading telecommunications company 8Point8 choosing Azzure IT to implement a private cloud solution on Microsoft Azure, using Business Central (On-Premise). Our bespoke designed solution will replace a previous system and a number of spreadsheets to help them handle their work-in-progress and deliver reliable information they need to grow their business.

This implementation was followed a week later by a Business Central partnership with private real estate investment and development company Westrock. Westrock have invested in over £8bn of assets across their three companies in Europe and the USA. After their recent go-live, they will be using Business Central for finance, budgeting and sales with approval workflow.

Our third Business Central partnership came with One Call Insurance, who went live with a Business Central Cloud solution halfway through January. Based in Doncaster and employing over 400 staff, One Call boast an impressive half a million customers, who they support with a range of insurance products from vehicle, home, to life and travel. We helped them get from initial project plan to ‘live’ in just under four months, and under budget.

In any implementation, we here at Azzure pride ourselves on being a value-added partner with our clients, and being able to offer our experience, ideas and expertise on top of the solutions we sell. This was evidenced through the deals we completed throughout January, specifically through the processes and solutions we uniquely created to streamline our customers activities in their NAV solutions. We also matched each client’s specific needs and requirements to their ideal solution, and offered ongoing consultancy and support before, during and after each implementation project.
